But I (Jesus) say unto you,

    Love your enemies
           (Even when it is your spouse who is your adversary....)

    Bless them that curse you,
            (Even when it is your spouse who kills you with hurtful words....)

Do good to them that hate you,
(Even when it is your spouse who is hateful, unkind, and disloyal to you....)

    And pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.
